Juror: Shawn Hill, art historian, art critic and a Contributing Editor to Art New England (also a speaker at the Encaustic Conference.)

He has chosen the title "In Flat Fields" and says that it "reflects the work, which I see as both flat in the cubist sense (with shallow picture planes, with a strong emphasis on surface texture), and yet so often the paintings are quite organic and evocative of landscape and horizons."
